Eligibility Criteria For MDS Admission in Maharashtra 2025
Nationality:
The applicant must be a citizen of India. A valid passport, an HSC/12th grade school leaving certificate, or a nationality certificate issued by the district magistrate, additional district magistrate, or chief metropolitan magistrate.
Declaring the candidate’s nationality as “Indian” will serve as proof of nationality.
Educational Requirements:
All applicants who have successfully completed a year of internship training by March 31, 2025, from an accredited dental institution and passed the final B.D.S. degree course examination from the college located in Maharashtra State.
According to section 13/A of the University Grant Commission Act of 1956, the dental college should have been connected to either the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences or a Deemed University located in Maharashtra.
Internship requirements:
By March 31, 2025, all candidates must have successfully finished a year of internship training from a recognized dental college.
Registration Certificate:
The candidate should have obtained temporary or permanent registration from the Dental Council of India, the Maharashtra State Dental Council (MSDC), or another State Dental Council. Such a candidate will be able to register for the 2025 NEET-MDS.
Note:
Candidates with a Maharashtra residence who have been admitted under the 15% All India Quota/Central Government Institutions for a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at dental colleges outside the state and who have earned a degree from a university outside the state will also be eligible to apply for the NEET-MDS 2025 selection process.
The State CET Cell, the Competent Authority, prohibits candidates who have completed the BDS test from a foreign university from applying to the NEET-MDS 2025 admissions procedure.
Subject to meeting NRI status and other pertinent eligibility requirements, non-resident Indians (NRIs) are only eligible for NRI quota seats in unaided private and private minority dental colleges.

- The Maharashtra NEET MDS counselling online application fee is Rs. 3000. Since there is no return for this application cost, candidates are encouraged to review the information brochure and determine their eligibility before making a payment.

Choice Filling Process:
- As planned, the Competent Authority will compile and post the Common State Merit List on the state CET Cell website.

- Postgraduate course admission for the 2025–2026 academic year will be completed online by completing the “Preference Form” found at www.mahacet.org.
- The Preference Form will not be available for offline completion. Online preference/choice forms for Rounds 1, 2, 3, and the Online Stray Vacancy Round can be filled out independently by eligible merit listed candidates.
Seat Allotment Process:

College Reporting:
