AYUSH PG Admission Procedure

The placement tests that candidates should attempt in order to gain admission to AYUSH courses in India is AIAPGET. For UG Ayush Courses, a candidate must take the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Exam, NEET-UG. The participants of PG Ayush courses must take the All-India AYUSH Postgraduate Entrance Test, or AIAPGET. All decisions about admission for AYUSH courses will be based on the results of the selection test.

AYUSH PG Admission- Eligibility Criteria

As the admission of AYUSH courses will be based AIAPGET. The candidates seeking admission in AYUSH courses needs to satisfy the eligibility criteria of AIAPGET.

  • The candidates must have passed BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BSMS or hold provincial pass certificate from a recognized university or board.
  • The candidates interested in PG courses must have completed one year internship to be eligible for AIAPGET examination.
  • Additionally, the candidates must hold, provisional registration certificate issued by NCISM/ NCH/ State Board/ Universities/ Deemed Universities.

AYUSH Admission Application Form-AIAPGET

The candidates seeking admission in PG AYUSH courses such as PG Ayurveda, PG Homeopathy and PG Unani must fill the application form. The application form will be available online on the official website. The application form is expected to be release in the first week of August. However, the last date to fill application form will be the third week of August.

How to Fill Application Form

  • Step 1: Go to the website and fill the application (Link will be given here).
  • Step 2: Candidates must first register by providing information such as their name, phone number, email address, and date of birth.
  • Step 3: After registration, the candidate will receive a registration number and password, which they will need to log in and fill out the remaining information.
  • Step 4: Candidates must fill out all of their information correctly; if any false information is discovered by the authority, your admission application will be cancelled.
  • Step 5: When completing the application form, candidates must upload the most recent photograph, signature, and all relevant documents.
  • Step 6: The final step will be to pay the application cost and submit it.
  • Step 7: Candidates must print the application form for future reference.

AIAPGET Exam Pattern

For better test preparation, we have shared the AIAPGET exam pattern (2023) below:

  • Exam mode: The exam will be administered via CBT online.
  • The exam will last two hours in order to complete the paper.
  • The total number of marks in the paper is 480.
  • The question paper has multiple choice questions (MCQs) with a single correct answer.
  • The total number of questions in the question paper is 120.
  • Marking scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and -1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.

AIAPGET Exam Syllabus

To prepare for the AIAPGET examination, candidates should acquaint themselves with the syllabus. The syllabus will include subject/knowledge areas as defined by NCISM/ NCH Graduate level education requirements for the respective discipline.

The syllabus will be made available together with the information bulletin. The syllabus would be selected based on disciplines such as Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Siddha, Unani, and so on.

AYUSH PG Counselling

The Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) of the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, New Delhi, is conducting online counselling for the allocation of 15% All India Quota Seats in Post Graduate (MD/MS) in Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani/Homeopathy courses at Govt./Govt. aided Ayurveda/ Siddha/ Unani/ Homoeopathy Colleges, Deemed Universities (100%).

The appropriate counselling committee will use the AIAPGET result to determine admission to PG Ayush courses. Shortlisted candidates must complete extra procedures in order to get Ayush PG admission.

All eligible candidates who qualified in the AIAPGET examinations and are seeking admission to Post Graduate (MD/MS- Ayurveda/Siddha/Unani/Homeopathy) courses should have to register themselves for counselling events. Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee will conduct counselling for All India Quota seats, including Government, Government Aided, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and National Institutes, as well as internal seats at Banaras Hindu University and Delhi University.

Steps in AIAPGET Counselling

Registration: To participate in the Ayush PG counselling, candidates must first register on the AACCC website and fill out the application form. Candidates should fill out the same information they did on the AIAPGET application form.

Registration Fee: In order to complete the application procedure for Ayush PG counselling, a candidate must pay a non-refundable registration fee to AACCC. Furthermore, depending on the type of college they are applying to, they will be required to pay a security deposit.

Choice Filling: Candidates must log in to their registered accounts using their roll number and password. They must now rank the specialties/colleges in order of preference. Before submitting their final application, all applicants are advised to double-check their choices in the preferred form of AIAPGET counselling.

Seat Allotment: The AACCC will create a seat allotment list based on the candidate’s merit position and the choices they make.

What is PG Ayurveda?

PG Ayurveda is the study of health care that encompasses the vast topics of good lifestyle and wellness. It is a three-year postgraduate study that covers details of various surgical methods, surgical disorders, surgical emergency management, and trauma, among other topics.

MD Ayurveda is a discipline of science that promotes the natural and comprehensive treatment of human illnesses. Admission to such a course is based on PG Ayurveda entrance tests such as AIAPGET, and many colleges may accept applicants based on their previous higher education marks.
