The MCC of Dte.GHS is conducting online NEET SS counselling 2026 for the purpose of allocating Super Specialty (DM/MCh and DrNB) seats in all Medical Educational Institutions of the Central and State Governments, as well as Deemed Universities established by an Act of Parliament, an Act of State or Union Territory Legislature, a Municipal Body, a Trust, a Society, a Company, or Minority Institutions.

For admission to Super Specialty programs like DM, MCh, and DrNB (SS), the NEET SS 2025 counseling schedule has been made public. The Medical Counselling Committee will handle the counseling procedure for eligible applicants from all Indian medical facilities.
The official announcement states that the counseling process will be conducted in several rounds, including Round 1 and Round 2, during which candidates must finish the registration, option filling, seat allocation, and reporting processes within the allotted time frames. In order to participate in the admissions process, candidates who passed the NEET SS exam must follow to the schedule.
There will be three rounds of NEET SS counseling in 2026: round 1, round 2, and a stray round. Candidates are eligible for the first round if their NEET SS rank qualifies them for All India Quota seats.
Vacant seats are provided in round 2 following the conclusion of round 1. New applicants are eligible to re-register, including those who did not register before or did not show up after a seat was assigned. Candidates may immediately submit new selections for round two if they chose to upgrade in the first round.
For the remaining open seats, the stray round is carried out. However, candidates are not eligible for the stray round if they have already enrolled in or are currently holding seats from rounds 1 or 2 of All India counselling, or if they were given seats as in-service candidates through Tamil Nadu state counselling.

NEET SS Counselling Process 2026
NEET SS 1st Round counselling:
- Round 1 registration entails paying a refundable security deposit of Rs. 2,00,000 (Rupees Two Lakh Only) and a non-refundable registration cost of Rs. 5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand only).
- Choice filling and locking process.
- Round 1 of the seat allocation process.
- Round 1 result publication.
- Reporting against the first round at the designated Medical College. (MCC/DGHS will forfeit the Refundable Security Deposit of Rs. 2 lakhs for candidates who have been assigned a seat in Round I but do not occupy the designated seat).
Round 2 Counselling:
- Fresh/New Registration (Round-2) for candidates who did not register for the first round of counseling, as well as those who left Round-1 with forfeiture and wish to re-register and pay the necessary counseling costs in order to participate in Round-2.
- Candidates who were already enrolled for Round 1 and those who did not receive a seat in Round 1 do not need to register again. These candidates will go straight to the candidate login for the Round 2 choice filling.
- Round-2 Fresh Choice filling.
- The second round of the seat allocation process.
- Round 2 result publication.
- Reporting against Round-2 at the designated Medical College.
According to the schedule posted on the MCC website, the deadline for students to be admitted or enrolled in order to fill any openings for this year.
Please be aware that registration and choice filling will be available on the scheduled dates.
Any request (for any reason) to reopen registration or choice filling after it has closed will never be accepted. It is recommended that candidates review the schedule posted on the MCC website.

Note:
- Candidates may apply with a provisional certificate if they have finished or are finishing their MD, MS, or DNB by January 31, 2026.
- The deadline for MD, MS, and DNB Broad Specialty candidates to be eligible for NEET SS 2025 is January 31, 2026.
- When reporting to the designated medical college, all documentation must be in original form.
Important Note:
One and only way to apply for NEET-SS counseling is online at www.mcc.nic.in, the website of the Medical Counseling Committee. Any other method of submission will result in a summary rejection of the application.
Additionally, candidates are urged to complete the MCC internet application form independently.
An applicant may only submit the NEET-SS Counseling application form once. If a candidate is discovered to have submitted more than one application or registration form for NEET-SS Counseling, they will not be allowed to participate in the NEET-SS Counseling allotment procedure, their candidature will be revoked, and the MCC of Dte.GHS, MoHFW will take necessary action.
If a candidate who has been assigned a seat in any of the rounds does not join the relevant institution or gives up the seat for any unanticipated reason, the Security Deposit will be lost. Additionally, if the admission is canceled for any reason, the security deposit will be lost. For instance, if an applicant fails to submit the necessary paperwork within the specified period for admission or gives false information during registration, a seat may be assigned and subsequently canceled by the Admission Authorities at the time of reporting.
